Operation Date Confirmed – 16 days to go

Just a quickie. It has been bugging me that I haven’t got a definite date for my operation. The pre-op appointment letter seemed to be saying that my “official” date would only be confirmed after the pre-op appointment. But… the pre-op is on the 7th July which is less than a week before the provisional date my consultant gave me.. which for my nervous head isn’t enough time if anything is going to change.

So, I called the hospital this morning and they did confirm that I am booked in for Wednesday 13th July. So that’s it then… 16 days from now I am going into hospital at the age of 37 for a hysterectomy……..

You may have gathered by now that I like blogging, so I intend to keep this blog up to date so you have a running commentary on what my experience was like.
