All done
SOOOOO I’ve had my little procedure and I was absolutely fine. I had my own room and Moochy was allowed to stay the whole time. I arrived at 9:45 and we were home by about 16:00, with the only fly in the ointment being some residual period pains. But the nurses gave me some tablets and it was all good.
I won’t have a bad word said against the NHS, but there are definite advantages of a private hospital. For a start, I had my own room and privacy does bring me a feeling of calmness. I had my own nurse and this was the fundamental difference. The NHS do an amazing job but whilst the nurse to patient ratio is 1:20 perhaps in your local hospital, it was probably 1:3 in the Spires Bupa Hospital. It makes a difference.
Anyway, my procedure went well and now I will just have to see how my body reacts to the lack of my Merina & removal of the polyp.
I have to say though, the highlight of yesterday was my fulfilled request for a chip butty on a floury White barm.,, bloody gorgeous xx
6:00 am
Moochy has just whispered to me “Are you doing a blog?” and at the time I wasn’t, but when you have got pre-op nerves, what else is there to do?
I’m going into Hospital today for an investigative procedure to see what exactly is going on with my periods. They have always been very painful, but in the last few months I’ve been having 2 a month – not good. My GP oddly referred me to a consultant at a private hospital in Warrington and that is where I’m going today for my little op.
No brekkie for me this morning as I’m fasting in preparation for the old sleepy gas and soon I’ll have a bath and get my bag ready. Wish me luck x
