Wampy Sunday
Oh here we are then, another Sunday night, after another weekend of stuff. Today was my niece’s 5th birthday party at “Jellybeans Play Centre“. Previous birthday parties have been at the ChillFactore in Manchester with varied degrees of success. My niece seemed to love it… from the second we go there she was running around like the almost 5 year old that she is.
There was a Princess party with chips and chocolate cake, oh and by the way, even at the grand old age of 36, I would still LOVE a party with chips and chocolate cake!!!
When we got back, I was still a little tired so put myself in bed for a bit whilst Moochy watched Liverpool batter Chelsea. Then of course my IBS kicked off and now I feel a bit bleeurgh.
Well, next week’s training is:
|
Day |
Training |
|---|---|
| Monday | 3 miles |
| Wednesday | 4 miles |
| Friday | 5 miles |
| Saturday | 7 miles |
With an invitation to The Lowry for lunch next Sunday to celebrate my sister-in-law’s birthday. Yay February!!!
Weight Watchers Innovation
So today is Saturday and I’m not having a 100% brilliant day. I suffer from chronic Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and whilst sometimes it doesn’t bother me at all, sometimes it can be horrible and really affect my life. It can often make me feel like an incontinent old woman or give me painful constipation. I know you are probably screwing your face up at this point thinking TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!!! But this is my reality and they say that a silent disease is a dead disease. If you aren’t sure what IBS is, check out this videoToday hasn’t been a good day in terms of IBS, but I think that is down to me being a bit worried about my job which is officially “at risk”. I had a bad experience working at St Helens Council in 2007 and left under very stressfull circumstances, so working for GMCVO has really restored my confidence – I would be gutted to have to leave.
But anyway, the title of this blog is Weight Watchers Innovation and that is what I am waiting for in anticipation. I have been following the Weight Watchers points system on an off with a variety of succcess for about 10 years. I have lost 3 stone and put it all back on again in a yo-yo stylie and I have to admit, I have got a bit bored with the whole thing, although I know that it works. I
However, I got an email from Weight Watchers about 10 days ago which said:
It’s new.
It’s breakthrough
It’s coming.
November 7th
So after trawling the internet today (a day early), I found this Daily Mail piece about it. Which sounds like they are ditching the points system in favour of something which sounds more like a healthy eating plan than a diet. Shying away from calories and fat and centering on the amounts of protein, carbohydrate, fibre. Obviously all will be revealed tomorrow, but it does sound like a huge change and something that might even kick start my own bum into bridesmaid weight loss.
So I will find out exactly what the craic is tomorrow and even though I am going for a full on Sunday dinner at The Lowry in Salford, it doesn’t mean that I can’t check it out and make a plan. Brillo pads. xxx
